Twelve suspects have been arrested after the killing of two French journalists in Mali, who were kidnapped and executed on Saturday in northeastern town of Kidal . The journalists, Ghislaine Dupont and Claude Verlon of Radio France Internationale, travelled to Kidal to interview a spokesman for a separatist Tuareg group.
It comes less than a week after France rejoiced at the release of four of its citizens, who were freed by al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb after a three-year-long captivity, allegedly in exchange for a hefty ransom.
